I really ought to write these down...

Been trying out some other J-rock bands/songs now that I have YouTube. But I don't want to forget which ones I like!
EDIT: Now in alphabetical order! ^_^
12012 - Burn
9 Goats Blackout - Sleeping Beauty is nice
Aicle - Shinzo (thanks for posting that,
diru915!)
Alice 9 - Yami Ni Chiru Sakura
Ali Project - I just ain't feelin' it right now; I'll try them again soon
AnCafe - Yeah, I checked them out, too. ^_^ Cherry Saku Yuuki isn't bad. :) Is that post-Bou? I don't know which songs he played on (was he on Kizuna? That wasn't bad, either), I just always thought he was cute. XD Thanks to
hee_glance for answering those questions, & for recommending more AnCafe songs; Merrymaking is cute, I like Maple Gunman, & I can dig Go Go Go...if I were in a very peppy mood & made a CD to reflect it, these guys would be on my happy mix! XD
Angelo - I like the guitar riffs on Reborn & He Is A Monkey; Winter Moon isn't bad, & Sister is pretty good
Anti-Feminism - Sodaigomi
Art Cube - I think this is what's left of Brain Hacker; so far, Suna no Hana is growing on me
Asian Kung Fu Generation - Flashback
Aural Vampire - I quite like Transcrypt
Ayabie - Yubisaki & Glitter Tropen aren't bad, Daikei is pretty good (I like the weird riffs)
Blood - I guess they changed their style; Lost Sky seems more techno-oriented, whereas Maria is more rock
Bloody Clown - Death Pantominer is the only one YouTube seems to have...but how can you not love a Riku project? XD
Brain Hacker - Seth from Moi dix Mois (& possibly K, as well)! Coin is the best so far, tho' the ballad Cry For The Moon isn't bad
ClearVeil - Uncontrol isn't bad; The Dropping Sky is pretty good
D - Sleeper & Tightrope aren't bad
Daisuke to Kuro no Injatachi - The late Daisuke, former Kagerou/Studs vocalist; Honrou is really nice (I saw it on your post,
diru915)
Dead Pop Stars - I'm still working on finding something to latch onto with these guys; so far, Star Lover isn't bad...they might wanna lose the harmonica, tho', it throws me off
Deathgaze - Dearest (REALLY like this, too); Sinner is pretty good, as well
Dies in Cries - Melodies isn't bad...sounds like something Klaha should be singing
Dio ~distraught overlord~ - I like Haunting quite a bit
DJ SiSeN - (Recommended by
hee_glance) Yokubaku's not bad; Carnival of Blood (from his project Seileen w/Selia) might've worked in one of the old Goth clubs ^_~
Dollis Marry - Ash
Dolly - World's End
Due le Quartz - Jisatsu Ganbou & Replica are both good; you can't really screw up when Miyavi's your guitarist ^_~
Duel Jewel - Azure needs to be the theme song of an anime, like, right now! XD
Eve of Destiny - Mother
Exist Trace - I really like Vanguard & Knife; Unforgive You is pretty good, too (this band is another
diru915 recommendation);
teacup_sky put me on to Resonance & Water, which are also good ~ & believe it or not, they're ACTUAL GIRLS! (I had to edit my previous remarks about the band, 'cuz initially, I didn't know it was an all-girl group! :P)
Gazette - Guren (REALLY like this)...Reila & Chizuru are good, as well...Before I Decay & The Invisible Wall aren't bad, either, & Taion is really moving, esp. when you learn of the true story that inspired it (
diru915 strikes again!)
Girugamesh - Volcano, & Arrow's not bad (the latter recommended by
diru915, as is, apparently, anything by Deathgaze & Gazette ^_^)
Han'nya - Mukui almost has an old-old-Diru kind of vibe to it, & I do like the way Kiri starts out...I just think they need a little polishing
Hizaki Grace Project - I only watched Philosopher; not bad (I love Juka's voice, but kinda want them to slow down a bit with the guitars!)
Irokui - Mrs. Albino isn't bad, & Himegoto has a vibe somewhat like Diru's Garden
Jakura - The late Jasmine You's pre-Versailles band; Uso no Makoto is good (thanks,
teacup_sky)
Janne Da Arc - Still feeling this band out...Seed isn't bad, but their songs all seem to start out pretty nifty & then go all upbeat-happy-pop melody on me; it works for some bands & not others, IMO
Juka (solo...or his band was called Juka, I'm not sure) - I think Aravesque right now
Kagerou - Rasen Kubi's instrumentation is good, tho' the vocals are a bit dizzying; Wrist Cutter is good all-round, reminiscent of early Dir en grey ("Zan", anyone? With a bit of the Missa ep thrown in for good measure); I also like Shiroi Karasu, Kakosei Shinjitsu, & Nawa
Kagrra - Satsuki & Sakebi are both good
Kannivalism - Monochrome
Kanon Wakeshima - Still Doll is nice, as is Suna No Oshiro...I can see why Mana would want to produce her :)
Kaya - Glitter Arch & Paradise Lost, also Madame Rosa & Carmilla; & you gotta respect (& fear XD) New Vogue Children, esp. from a guy who also covers Edith Piaf's song Padam Padam (thanks,
teacup_sky *sneeze* XD)
Ken - S (thanks, Naoko!)
The Kiddie - I like their instrumentation; so far, Black Side is pretty good
Klaha (solo) - Souten Hakugetsu is my fave
Kozi (solo) - I think Honey Vanity (original version) is best right now
Kra - Haruiro No Hana is their best so far
Kuroyume - For Dear
Lareine - I do believe this is Kamijo, the Versailles vocalist; Metamorphose & Saikai no Hana aren't bad, but I want the band to be a little more up-tempo or rock or something...guess that's why he went on to do Versailles
Lillies & Remains - Somebody on the J-rock humour comm posted a misheard lyrics video for the song Decline Together...funny stuff, but really good song; I'd like to hear more from these guys - so far, Moralist S.S. isn't bad
LM.C - Mr. Century is pretty good, Liar Liar is a touch pop-y but it's another one that grows on you
Luna Sea - Gravity (LOVE this!!!)
Lynch - Ambivalent Ideal
Megamasso - Twilight Star isn't bad, should be an anime theme ^_^
Megaromania - Apocalypse isn't bad (those guitars will drive you mad if you're not in just the right mood), but I keep imagining it being done by Phantasmagoria...maybe 'cuz this is another Under Code band?
Metis Gretel - Maiden
Miyavi - Of course, I don't want to forget him!! Where Are You & Girls Be Ambitious are my faves. I can dig Itoshi Hito & Ashita Genki ni Naare, as well as Kimi Ni Negai Wo, & Survive (if I'm in the right mood) ~ those are all
diru915's fault. XD
MUCC - I've posted before that I really like Game
Nil - Placebo & Implosion Teenage Girl
Oblivion Dust - Plastic Wings
Panic Channel - Clear (it's like the little brother Diru's Yokan never had! XD)
Penicillin - Blue Moon is about the only one I'm feelin' right now, but it's not bad; Momoiro Gene is pretty good (thanks,
teacup_sky)
Pierrot - Mad Sky kinda grows on you...& I imagine Neo Grotesque would be fun to see live
Plastic Tree - Replay; Melancholic isn't bad, either
Psycho Le Cemu - I think they're the GWAR of J-pop/rock! XD From their image, I expected them to be harder...but I like Gekiai Merry Go Round
Rentrer en Soi - Protoplasm
Sadie - Just about anything by these guys, I think! I tried Ice Romancer, Meisai, Crimson Tear, Silent Eve, & Dress (most of these were
diru915's recommendation)
Scanch - Cheezy 80's pop metal from Suicide Circle show-stealer, Rolly!! Kimi No Inai Radio Station is definitely my fave
Schwartz Stein - Last Hallucination & New Vogue Children (thanks to
teacup_sky for the latter, which is really good!)
Screw - I really like Death's Door & Ancient Rain, & Cursed Hurricane is good, too (thanks again,
diru915! And Bou, the vocalist, can get in line behind Kyo & Sadie's Mao, LOL!)
Shoujo Lolita 23q - Ceramic Star isn't bad, another one that sounds like it belongs in an anime ^_^
SID - I think I like Ajisai (Hydrangea) the best so far
Siva - Brave
The Studs - Fronted, I believe, by the late Daisuke, former Kagerou vocalist; Creepy Crawly is pretty good
SuG - It's all about Love Scream Party, bay-bee!! XD If these guys lived next to DJ SiSeN & Spiv States (Jun & Iori's new project), you'd have the most colourful neighbourhood in Japan! XD Also like Pimp My Cars & Oreshiki Continue (thanks,
teacup_sky!), & Umbilical, which is a bit more serious (thanks,
diru915!)
Tetsu69 - Tightrope
Tokyo Michael (I'd swear their Katakana reads Mikhail rather than Michael, tho') - Yasashii Ame
Unsraw - Gate of Death isn't bad
Uverworld - D-techno-life
Vajra - This one is entirely the fault of someone who posted on
diru_tabloids! I forget who it was, but they noted - quite correctly - that Vajra has a couple of songs that sound notoriously like certain Dir en grey numbers! The vocalist even sounds like Kyo! I think we need to have a tour with these guys, Sadie, & Dir en grey. XD As for songs I like, Souhaku No Soko Ni Shizumu Kodoku To Munashiki Sogaikan (hope I Romanised that right) is the one that started it, though I checked out some other tunes: Hakuri is very pretty! Souhitsu Wa Ame is pretty, too; Under Fall is good; Child of Grudge isn’t bad; Sad Social & Hate are okay, as well
Vanilla - They seem like a really fun band, tho' I'm not entirely feelin' them right now...although Rabid Birthday would be an interesting choice for a b-day party song; heck, the song's a party in itself XD
Velvet Eden - Dada! Thanks to
the_blue_nun for this one. ^_^ Several good tunes, but (Tsuki Kumo) Nocturne is undoubtedly my favourite.
Versailles - Thanks to
teacup_sky, I can safely say I really like Love From A Dead Orchestra. Zombie & Forbidden Gate, too! :)
Vidoll - Gothicaroid
VII-sense - Juka! So far, Black Bird is good (thanks,
hee_glance)
Vistlip - Sara & Alon[n]e aren't bad
Vivid - Feast of the Moon isn't bad, Across the Border is better
XOVER - More Juka! XD So far, I like The Curse of Life (
hee_glance again ^_^)
Zigzo - Himawari
I will be editing this as I find more songs/artists. :)
Next on my list to try: 176-Biz, Abingdon Boys School (I heard one song of theirs once that was good, but I don't know the title), Acid Black Cherry, Baroque, Buck-Tick, Deluhi, Derlanger, Glay, Kisaki Project (I've seen some clips before but can't recall which I liked), Kat-Tun (must see what all the fuss is about XD), Kiyoharu, KuRt, Matenrou Opera, Nightmare (I do like the songs they did for the Death Note anime), Paradeis, Serial Number, Sincrea, & maybe Yellow Monkey (ex-Mago drummer Matoi always talked about them!)
EDIT: Now in alphabetical order! ^_^
